Recreation Access Pass

The City of Powell River is pleased to offer a newly revised Financial Assistance Recreation Access program to all residents of the City of Powell River, including all of the qathet Regional District.

The Recreation Access program provides low-income residents the ability to access basic recreation programs and services at the Powell River Recreation Complex. These include drop in programs and all public swimming and skating events. (skate rentals not included).

Who is eligible?

Residents in the Powell River region (including all of qathet Regional District) that either:

  • Receive social assistance through the Ministry of Children and Family services or;
  • Meet the Stats Canada Low Income Measurement Guidelines

Application Process:

Applications are accepted and processed year-round through the Recreation Complex.

Residents that receive social assistance through the Ministry of Children and Family services must complete an application form from that agency and once approved, submit it to the Recreation Complex.

Residents that meet the Stats Canada Low Income Measurement guideline must complete an application formĀ and provide a copy of their most recent Revenue Canada T4 statement.

Upon qualifying, a Recreation Pass, loaded with 52 free admissions will be provided to each eligible member of the household. Only one pass will be issued per year to each eligible person.
