Special Events Guide

Thinking of planning or hosting a special event in Powell River?

We’ve developed a Special Events Guide and Procedures Manual that will assist you in planning your upcoming event.  This manual will provide details outlining what type of events can be hosted as well as the current City policies and procedures so that your event will be a success. We recognize that special events are an important part of our resident’s quality of life. They enhance tourism, culture, recreation and education as well as providing local economic benefits.

For more information, or to be considered for a special event, please download and complete our Special Event Application Form. Once received, staff will contact you to confirm any further event details.

Submission Deadlines:

For Annual Events, applications are required to be submitted by October 31 of the year prior to the event.

For all other events, applications are required to be submitted at least 90 days prior to the date of the event.
