The Powell River Recreation Centre boats a full compliment of health & fitness options for the mind, body and spirit. Our line up of programs and equipment combined with our certified instructors, will assist you in your goals of becoming a more healthier and active YOU! Our goal is to help Powell River become one of the healthiest and most active communities in BC.

Weight Room

Whether you a are a beginner or looking for a challenging work out, our weight room has you covered. Thanks to the Powell River Community Forest, in 2017 we installed a complete new line of selectorizer and strength equipment that now provides for an even greater workout with many new exercise options available.   Regular admission rates apply.

As of July 5, you are no longer required to pre-register your gym session.

Summer Gym Schedule

  • Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 6:15am – 8:00pm
  • Tuesday & Friday from 6:15am – 6:15pm
  • Saturdays from 9:15am – 1:00pm

Personal Training Services

Our certified trainers can provide personal one-on-one training or in a group setting. Whether you are new to fitness, need personalized motivation or sport specific training, talk to one of our trainers today to set up a customized program to suit your specific fitness goals.

Registered Drop In Group Fitness

Our drop-in group fitness programs allow you the opportunity to choose the class that best suits you. With such a wide variety of programs too choose from, our certified instructors will put you through the movements in a safe, friendly, and fun environment. You MUST pre register for these classes. Regular admission rates apply.*
