Arena & Sports Programs
Powell River Parks, Recreation & Culture department provides year-round sports opportunities within the community ranging from ice skating, hockey development, pickleball, summer sports camps, and organized adult recreational slo-pitch and hockey leagues.
Kids Registered Programs
The Powell River Recreation Complex offers year round registered kids sports programs. You can visit our seasonal Active Living Guide to register for the program of your preference.
Court Sports
Table tennis and Pickleball are some of the opportunities we offer throughout the community. These programs are available on a drop in basis and continue to grow in popularity. Pickleball is offered out of the Oceanview Education Centre while Table Tennis occurs at the Powell River Recreation Complex.

- Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:00 – 7:00pm
- Saturdays from 1:00 – 6:00pm
- Advanced players only from 1:00 – 3:30pm
- All players welcome from 3:30 – 6:00pm
- Sundays from 9:00 – 5:00pm
- Advanced players only from 9:00 – 11:00am
- All players welcome from 11:00 – 5:00pm
- Beginners coaching from 11:00 – 1:00pm
- 1 court reserved for Parkinson’s group from 1:00 – 2:30pm
- All times are All Welcome play
- $3.10 per drop in
- $28.20 for a book of 10 tickets

Public Skating
From September – March, the Powell River Recreation Complex offers many drop in ice skating programs throughout the week for all ages and interests. Drop in programs include: Shinny Hockey, Everyone Welcome Skate, Parent & Child Hockey, Adult/Seniors Skate, Sensory skates, and Family Skates. Also be on the look out for seasonal special events!
If you don’t have equipment, don’t worry, we have a wide selection of rental skates and helmets available in our Skate Shop during our public skating sessions.
